Fish Curry



  • 4 to 5 good size snapper fish.  (Wash and clean and cut in round shapes)
  • ½ brown onion
  • Garlic/ginger/chilli paste (1 tsp. each)
  • 2 tsp. curry power
  • Few curry leaves
  • ¼ cup coriander
  • 1 tin coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 1 cup warm water


Step 1

In a wide frying pan, add oil and heat up

Step 2

Brown onion and curry leaves and add ginger/garlic /chilli paste and curry powder, add little bit of water to make paste, now add fish, after few minutes turn the fish and cook another side for a minute, then add coconut milks and water and cook for 3-4 minutes. Be careful not to overcook as it may break up the fish.

Step 3

It’s ready to serve with rice or roti.
