Matar ( blue Peas)

Ingredients

500g soaked matar
1/2 diced onion
3 cloves garlic mince
1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
1 red chilli diced
1/4 teaspoon cumin seed
3 tablespoon oil
3 whole cardamon
3 clove
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups warm water
2 tablespoon curry powder masala
1/4 cup chopped coriander

Method

Step 1

In a good size pot heat oil

Step 2

Add cumin, cloves and cardamon

Step 3

Add onion and fry to golden brown

Step 4

Add garlic, ginger and chilli

Step 5

Add curry powder

Step 6

Add Matar

Step 7

Add salt

Step 8

Add water

Step 9

Cook on low heat until Matar is soft and garnish coriander

Step 10

Tips : adjust water if still hard add more water. If it’s too soft and water still left in pot start cooking on high heat.
