Butter chicken



8 pieces of chicken Leg fillet ( cut in small pieces washed and dried)
1 onion diced
2 tablespoon garlic /ginger paste
2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoon mild red chilli powder
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoon yogurt
2 1/2 cups warm water
2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon oil
100g butter
6 fresh ripe red tomato
1 cup cream
3 green chilli cut half length wise
1 teaspoon sugar


Step 1

Step 1 In a basin marinate chicken

Step 2

Add chicken Add lemon juice Add 1 teaspoon chilli powder Add 1 teaspoon cumin powder Add 1 teaspoon garlic/ ginger paste Add yogurt Add oil Add salt Mix well and marinate for 10 minutes

Step 2 Heat pan

Step 4

Add half of butter

Step 5

Add chicken saute on high heat for few minutes

Step 6

Add 1/2 cup water and simmer until chicken is fully cooked.

Step 3 Diced and purée tomato

Step 8

In a pan add butter

Step 9

Add Onion fry to soft texture Add chilli

Step 10

Add garlic/ginger paste

Step 11

Add cumin, coriander and garam masala

Step 12

Add purée tomato

Step 13

Add tomato paste and cook for few minutes Add salt

Step 14

Add 1/2 cup water and cook on low heat until purée is cooked

Step 15

Add sugar and 1/2 water stir

Step 16

Add 3/4 of cream and stir

Step 17

By now your chicken is cooked

Step 18

Add cooked chicken and mix well Cook for for few minutes and off the heat .

Step 19

Tip You can adjust sauce quantity by adding more water and cream . Save some to garnish on top with chopped coriander.
